Best In Home Childcare Payroll Provider 2022

Family Payroll Ltd was established in 2020 by Pamela Cormack after identifying the need for a dedicated payroll service especially for families who employ someone in their home.

Pamela is also the founder of Lothian Childcare Solutions, a Childcare Agency that recruits and provides childcare workers to families including babysitters, nannies and mother’s helps. 

After establishing trusting relationships with families through the agency, Family Payroll seemed like a natural next step to be able to support families on their journey of becoming and being an employer.

Going from strength to strength, Family Payroll also now provide payroll services to early years settings, supporting them with the often stressful task of monthly payroll for their staff teams. 

Pamela works closely with payroll Manager, Steven, who has worked in the payroll industry for over 20 years.

Pamela Cormack

Founder & Director

This is Pam and her adorable dog Barney. Both he and her son bring her so much joy every day. As a full-time working Mum with two businesses and limited time, she values their time together so much; something she said that she will never take for granted. 

Pam has worked in childcare most of her adult life, in nurseries, in a Children and Families Centre and until 2017 as an inspector with The Care Inspectorate, the regulatory body for Care Services in Scotland.

As well has having a very good knowledge of the regulations around providing care and employing someone in a care role, through her other business, Lothian Childcare Solutions, she has also come to better understand the issues families face when employing someone in their home and the need to support them with a very personable and affordable payroll service. 

She also continues her love of supporting childcare providers in their settings too but this time though a high quality payroll service. 

Her priority in life and business is to always care and find a way to help.  

Steven Keenan

Steven has extensive experience in payroll and accounting, having worked in both the public sector and with various accountancy firms. Throughout his career, he has successfully managed teams, provided training to businesses and staff on payroll processes, and developed bespoke payroll systems.

Steven takes great pride in his professionalism and the exceptional support he offers to our clients. With a deep understanding of how payroll functions, he is always available to assist our clients whenever they require his expertise. He particularly enjoys working on complex situations involving HMRC, as it allows him to help clients save money and resolve issues on their behalf.
 
Outside of work, he is a devoted family man with four children who keep him youthful and active. In his spare time, he enjoys playing golf and understands the importance of maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
